Accuracy before speed
Important claims should be traceable to evidence. Pulse moves quickly, but we take time to check. Every important claim in a Pulse story should be supported by reliable sources and be traceable to evidence. When information is uncertain or developing, we make that clear.
The source matters
Different sources play different roles. We prioritise information that is close to the facts and clearly attributed.
First-party announcements
Company and research sources are useful for announcements, but they are still speaking about their own work.
Independent reporting
Independent reporting can confirm a claim, challenge it or add context.
ⓘ Repeated coverage is not automatically independent confirmation.
Automation supports the work
Pulse uses automation to find, group and summarise public information. Automation helps us work faster, but it is not proof by itself. We still check the source, context and the overall evidence.
Analysis shows its working
A Pulse Insight should make its main idea clear and show the evidence behind it. We separate the key claims, the supporting evidence and what could change the conclusion, so readers can see how we reached it.
Independence is non-negotiable
Commercial relationships do not change our editorial conclusions.
